Uzbekistan has an area of 447,400 square kilometers and a population of 31.85 million (April 2013). Rich in natural resources, it is a country with strong economic strength in the Commonwealth of Independent States, and its economic strength is second to Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. The pillar industries of the national economy are “four golds”: gold, “platinum” (cotton), “black gold” (oil), and “blue gold” (natural gas). However, the economic structure is single and the processing industry is relatively backward. Agriculture, poultry farming and mining are developed, cotton production accounts for 2/3 of the former Soviet Union, raw silk production accounts for 49% of the former Soviet Union's raw silk production, kenaf production accounts for more than 90% of the former Soviet Union, and lamb skin, silkworm cocoon and gold production respectively accounted for 2/3, 1/2 and 1/3 of the former Soviet Union. Light industry is underdeveloped, and 62% of daily necessities rely on other republics. Rich in mineral resources, the total value of mineral resources reserves is about 3.5 trillion US dollars. Uzbekistan's industry plays an important role in Central Asia, with industries such as natural gas, machinery manufacturing, non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals, textiles and silk being more developed. GDP (2017) total: $496.77 billion, per capita GDP: $1,533.
On March 8, Vice President Zheng Yabing and Chu Keqi went to Uzbekistan for business cooperation and exchanges. The Uzbekistan delegation set up overseas offices and overseas warehouses. He visited many well-known local enterprises and participated in two exhibitions. At the exhibition, we exchanged ideas with various manufacturers. During the visit, we communicated and discussed with manufacturers in various aspects to gain a deeper understanding of the trends and needs of foreign markets, and better grasp the market conditions and market landing points.
During the field trip, I visited ТПП "Огнеупор" refractory manufacturer (the largest refractory supplier in Tashkent, the group headquarters in Russia, currently supplying 9 steel mills in Uzbekistan), accompanied by the person in charge of ТПП "Огнеупор" I visited the production workshop, product display, office area, etc., and communicated with the responsible person of ТПП "Огнеупор" to understand the local sales and export sales of local refractory materials.
Through this investigation, ТПП "Огнеупор" refractory manufacturers practically standardized production management, scientific time management and strict process management have benefited everyone, and also have an important reference for the domestic refractory industry transformation and upgrading.
